Ward Conference 2007
Today was Ward Conference. The Bishop and Stake Presidency shared some really good messages about the Stake theme for 2007. The Bishop spoke in Sacrament Meeting about procrastination. In today's world there are so many sources of distraction, which is one of Satan's most powerful tools. That's why it's so important to figure out how to balance our lives so that we can make sure we make room for the important things, which brings me to this year's stake theme: "I will increase my faith in Christ by feasting on the words of Christ each day." President Richardson emphasized by this that "feasting" doesn't necessarily mean reading a certain amount from the scriptures each day. "Feasting" (at least my interpretation of what he said) means striving to have a spiritual experience each day, regardless of the source.
Postscript: There was a little poem the bishop read regarding a flawed viewpoint we often have. I wrote down the last two lines: "I can change at any time, I think I will tomorrow."
